Victoria, a registered nurse is a single mother. who is raising her two young daughters, and is content with her modest life until a phone call changes everything forever.

Sarah, her best friend who has been battling cancer for several years, is losing the fight. She and her husband Noah convince Victoria to rent her home out, put her belongings into storage and come to California to be with them and their family through the difficult last days.

Many challenges await her including a crisis involving Sarah's youngest child, Victoria's growing exhaustion, and her conflicting feelings regarding Noah.

This book has a strong Christian focus, while addressing real problems that people face when a loved one is ill.

All of the characters discover new things about themselves and the bonds that they have formed with each other over the years.

It is a great read, with believable characters and a plot that takes them all through levels of self awareness and acceptance.

Anyone who enjoys an inspirational romance will love this book.
